2017 Season

26 February – Year 11 and 12 music workshop

  • Date: Sunday 26 February 2017, 10am to 1pm

  • Venue: Gibney Hall, Trinity College, 2 Trinity Avenue, East Perth (opposite the chapel). Click here for a map of the college.

  • The entry cost is $10 for students and $5 for parents/guardians. Please email secretary@fremantleorchestra.com.au to register or with any queries.

  • Conductor: Prof Alan Lourens

Programme – selections from works on the senior high school Music syllabus (ATAR works), includes:

  • Haydn Symphony No 104 (‘London’), movements 1 and 3

  • Berlioz Symphonie Fantastique, movements 4 and 5

  • Beethoven Symphony No 5, movements 1, 3 and 4

  • Prokofiev Symphony No 1 (‘Symphonie Classique’), movement 3.

This is a workshop concert with senior high school students from several schools joining the FSO to read through the repertoire they are studying – getting to know them from the inside!
